Snout and Trotter is owned and run by the Jopling family on their smallholding in West Devon. They breed and hand rear their own free range, rare breed pigs and produce the highest quality british pork products. No unnecessary chemicals, preservatives or additives are used. The pigs are allowed to develop and grow slowly in the belief that quality of life leads to a better quality of pork. Pork products can be produced to customers' specific requirements plus a range of smoked products are also available together with livestock and butchery courses. They also offer a high quality holiday let in one of the most beautiful parts of Devon. In summer 2009, Hot Smoked purchased four rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black piglets, two of which are now the subject of curing and smoking experiments - of which more in due course.
