Butt Rub is an all-purpose, natural seasoning which has something of a cult following in BBQ circles. Billed as a 'serious product with a funny name' it is the bbq seasoning of choice of professional barbequers and chefs, but is now available to all of us amateurs who cook for fun. Despite it's playful name it really adds a flavour punch to smoked dishes. We've used it on several occasions now with a Pulled Pork recipe and it's paprika and smoked jalapeno (chipotle powder) combination has just the right amount of heat to complement rather than overpower the food. It is a natural companion to pork but can also be used across a wide range of other meats and vegetables - and it's gluten free. Available in a 128g jar or a large 14oz jar (see separate entry).
Ingredients: Salt, black pepper, granulated onion, paprika, chipotle powder (smoked jalapeno), microcrystalline cellulose (natural anti-caking agent). Does not contain sugar or MSG.
