* NEW * The Maverick Deluxe horizontal bbq smoker provides a 4000cm sq grilling area with the addition of a 1400cm sq side fire box to the standard Maverick. Increased capacity aside, this combination of elements provides even greater scope for achieving a range of different cooking temperatures and an easy solution to indirect cooking. The side fire box includes a warmer plate which, handily, sits at the same level as the main cooking chamber. The Maverick Deluxe also offers all the other features of the Maverick for authentic Texas style grilling and food smoking.
The main grill area is 2600cm2 made up of three separate cast iron cooking grates measuring 52cm x 50cm combined. These sit above the charcoal grate which is height adjustable and the base below is of double steel construction to prevent burnout. The lid of the main cooking chamber has an innovative double opening function, either sliding back for a quick monitoring of your food or fully hinged opening for open hood barbecuing. A warming rack also sits above the cooking grates and can be swung away from the heat as required. The side fire box with it's additional 1400cm sq cooking area is positioned at a lower level to the main chamber to most effectively draw both heat and smoke from the main chamber. The advantages of this type of smoker are increased options for barbecuing as well as food smoking with a number of features to enable you to adjust the cooking temperature and, with the side fire box you have scope for different grilling or smoking projects including indirect grilling at one and the same time .
The Maverick Deluxe has two slatted wooden shelves one to the side and the other to the front and there's also a metal rack shelf at the base of the unit for storing charcoal or wood. Despite it's combined 54.1kg weight, the Maverick's large wheeled base makes it easy to move around. These new ProQ horizontal smokers are made of thicker steel then other brands on the UK market and are treated to a high heat powder coat finish for extra durability.

Please note: The Maverick Deluxe is supplied in two separate cartons, one housing the main grill chamber, frame and shelves and the other housing the side fire box. Self assembly is required and we estimate it will take approximately 1 hour to assemble.
