These natural firelighters are forested sustainably from the Ocote pine tree (Pinus Oocarpa) which is native to Guatamale. When the trees blow down or after natural forest fires the roots of the Ocote tree continue to produce sap, saturating the trunk with resin. The wood shards taken from the trunk are highly flammable as a result and are a very effective way to light your fire without chemical smells. The sticks initially catch fire with a black smoke and then burn strongly to help establish your charcoal fire. Bundle of approximately 14 sticks. You can split these down as required.
