CERAMIC GRILLS - Kamado Joe

The name 'Kamado' means stove or cooking range in Japanese and it was in Japan that the original Kamados or 'mushikamado' was devised where a clay pot with a removable domed clay lid was fueled by charcoal with an added damper and draft door for improved heat control. Modern Kamados are made of ceramic, but the basic cooking method remains the same and these ovens give you a vast temperature range as well as retaining moisture.
